Albums that snuck under my radar in 2025
As 2026 rolls in and new music continues to release its always fun to look back at the previous year and the albums I might have missed. Believe it or not I am human and there is only so much music I can consume in a given time. On top of that some records simply go under my radar or arent brought to my attention until after i work on my list. Well enough rambling, these are some overlooked albums of 2025!
Racing Mount Pleasant — Racing Mount Pleasant
This first album just might be my album of the year (sorry Emily Hines) and it’s not even on my list! I remember listening to their debut in 2022 under the name Kingfisher and enjoying it but they are back in full force as Racing Mount Pleasant and I’m telling you right now this band is gonna be big. While the comparisons to Black Country, New Road are apt, I find their album to be much more atmospheric akin to Balmorhea or caroline.

Don West — Give Me All Your Love
Some of the better R&B/Soul I’ve heard in a while. Also… I can’t believe this voice comes out of this guy. Just saying.

Kofi Stone — All The Flowers Have Bloomed
How has this gentleman escaped my grasp for so long! I absolutly adore English rap of this style and this album scratches a lot of itches that haven’t been scratched for me lately.

These are some January releases that have caught my eye!
Westside Cowboy — So Much Country ‘Till We Get There
This is a great EP and a band I’ve been keeping my eye on. With a opening spot for Geese this year i expect this bands debut album to both be great and a big deal. Look out for them in the next 18 month or so!

Christian Löffler — Until We Meet Again
I’ve been a Christain Löffler fan for a long time now. If you aren’t familer with his work go ahead and pick anything hes worked on he is wildly consistant artist. This new album is a very spacious addition to his discography with a lot of vocal support from Swedish artist Adna.
